About me

My name is Álvaro Marín, also known as Varo, or Varo486. I'm an eccentric guy that loves technology, photography, cinema, typewriters, retro games, chiptunes and soundtracks.

I've been making music since 2013, when I started tinkering with midi and doing instrument swaps. Back in 2016 I started making Sega Genesis/Megadrive remixes of other videogame tracks. I started taking it seriously at around 2017, when I started making my first, own music with all the knowledge I had at the time. Ever since, I've learned more to the point of making actual music and soundtracks. I have my own style, that mixes the sounds of the 80s with a modern touch. If there's something I keep doing, is learning and keeping room for improvement.
